Just a little inspiration for your shutter box if you've purchased one before or are hoping to purchase one of the 3 available at this year's show. 

Below is my personal shutter box that I've decorated for the center of my island.  Not for sale-just to inspire you:)

I chose to use a variety of fake pumpkins some fake bittersweet and battery-operated candles that are on a timer - which is wonderful!  Every night it lights up & I don't have to think about it!  Hope this gives you another idea of how to decorate using one of the shutter boxes we have available at the show.  **This one is not for sale.

See below some wonderful unique items that will be at our show this year.  All these vintage items have been given a new look & are one-of-a-kind!

Shown above is a silverplated Paul Revere bowl and a silverplated teapot.  Each have been in Dixie Belle's Quiet Cove silk paint and finished off in a matte finish.  The bowl features an Iron Orchid design transfer from the Fairytale Florals Collection.  The bowl is $18.00, and the teapot is $22.50.  Each would make a wonderful gift for any collector! 

Don't you just love vintage luggage? Here's a cutie that's been given a new look.  This is a 1970's Samsonite hardshell suitcase painted with Laural Green and has an Iron Orchid transfer from the Painterly Florals Collection.  It measures 14" x 18" and is $35.00.  The inside is super clean, see picture below.  This would be an awesome gift for anyone who loves vintage luggage!!

Here's a beautiful antique standing sewing box with a double hinged top.  It includes that tray insert - see below pictures.  It stands 22" tall, 13" wide & 11" deep.  Painted black with a matte finish, featuring a Belles & Whistle transfer in the Flower Child Collection, which can be seen on the front & back of the sewing box & on the tray insert.  $40.00

Below is a vintage 1900's wood smoke stand painted with Dixie Belle's Stormy Seas then sealed with a brown wax.  The Iron Orchid Designs transfers are from the Brocante & Traditional Pots Collection.  $35.00

New addition to the Crocheted Nativity - a stable!!

Better get one while it's available - the pre-orders have been coming in already!

Be sure to note - there are no more pre-orders available for the 5-piece nativity set shown below in the stable.  There will be an update early next week on the availability of the 5-piece set and the sheep or donkey add-ons.  Thank you for the overwhelming love and support of this sweet little nativity!!

These stables are just the perfect size to house Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus - the donkey and sheep sit outside and if the newest addition arrives on time, it too as a special spot!  I'll update on that piece once I have specifics from Heather. 

Each stable is $15.00 and there are only currently 7 5 stables left now. Please note if you pre-ordered prior to this posting, your stable has already been set aside for you. If you would like a stable for your nativity set, I'd recommend reserving one.

The 5 pc sets are $25.00 (Joseph, Mary, Baby Jesus, donkey & sheep), 3 pc sets (Joseph, Mary & Baby Jesus) are $15.00. If you order the donkey or sheep as an add-on or stand-alone they are $6.00 each. Please note these prices if you've pre-ordered.

Looking for a unique hand-made or repurposed gift? Need favors for your Christmas dinner table, stocking stuffers? See below some wonderful items.

Shown above and in more detail are a variety of unique, some that are one of a kind, items that would make wonderful additions to your holiday decorating or to give as gifts!

The candy dish (shown in detail below) is a vintage wooden pedestal bowl that has been chalk painted - makes a great serving piece for crackers on a buffet table, tea bags/k-cups at a coffee bar, I have one on my side table next to the couch always filled with candy.  One of a kind - $12.00

Shown in the bowl are Rolos wrapped in Christmas paper with a tag - ready to place at each place setting on your Christmas dinner table or to put in the top of a stocking or a top a gift.  $1.50 each.  

Also in the bowl are our homemade cocoa mixes - all quality ingredients, double bagged so the mix doesn't dump out with the toppings, these are great gifts for kids, teachers, friends, neighbors, they make excellent stocking stuffers too! $2.00 each

The tree above is done with a paint inlay in a tobacco slat frame - one of a kind, 17.5" tall x 7.75" wide.  It can stand or hang - $22.00.

Finally got a few of these made up, I'll post the others later.  They are made from vintage bed springs - added some Christmas greenery and a ribbon to make the sweetest jingle bells!  Shown here are ones with the black & red buffalo check ribbon.  The others have a more traditional ribbon and will get posted later.  Each pair of "bells" is $8.00.  I have 4 pairs in the buffalo ribbon.

Just love these embroidery thread snowmen, there are a few different ones available this year - be sure to come out to the show to find the one that you love the best.  $7.50 each

Also shown above are a pair of handmade wooden candlesticks, made from some repurposed spindles and then chalk painted.  Sold as a pair the tallest is 18.5" tall and the shorter 14" tall - they would look great all year round on a fireplace mantle.  $25.00 for the set.

A top the candle sticks are repurposed baby food jars - painted to look like mercury glass and then decorated, including a tealight inside.  Super cute anywhere in your holiday decorating or a simple little gift.  

$2.00 each - there are 8 available.

Still one of my favorite repurposed creations is this shutter box.  I use mine all the time for different occasions & seasons - right now I have it decorated for fall in the center of my island (maybe I'll post it in a bit for some inspiration)!  See the post from November 9,2023 to see a variety of ways I've decorated and used my shutter box - I change it up each year.  There are also pictures showing the tray insert to elevate your decorations that can be removed for tall decorations or used to store stuff underneath while using the box itself.

Shown here is a larger shutter box - 36" long, 8.5" tall, and 7" deep.  I have 2 of this size, decorated exactly the same.  The box comes with all the decorations shown in the picture (hard to see - strand of fairy lights) and the insert tray (not show) that elevates the decorations & helps store other decorations underneath.

$65.00 each for either one of the larger boxes.

I have one smaller shutter box available, decorated exactly the same with all the same features.  It measures 28"long, 7"tall, & 6.25"deep.  It is $60.00.  I hope to post it later, but if not refer to the November 9,2023 post for pictures from last year.

Lastly shown in the above pictures is an 8ft strand of mini vintage Christmas ornaments. Super cute just draped on the buffet as shown here or used on a tree.  I have 2 strands available at $12.00 each.

A personal fan of these hand made tissue pouches - they are so much prettier than the plastic the tissues come in & quieter when you need to get a tissue and you're not wanting to make a lot of noise doing so.  Each pouch comes filled with tissues ready to go in you purse, diaper bag, car, backpack, etc.... Use them as a great teacher's gift, stocking stuffer or hostess gift. $3.50 each, see below picture for all the ones available.

 

Anyone else shop at Aldi? Tired of scrounging around looking for a quarter to get a cart?  I've been using my Aldi quarter key chain/coin purse for years and finally got around to sewing up some for the show this year.  It is so convenient and it always has a few quarters in it - in case you want to share, or to know you have a few quarters on hand at any time.  See below for the options of material - each are lined with a coordinating pattern, have a sturdy snap to close with and have the key ring attached - all you need is the quarter!  $3.50 each

I made these for each of our girls before they went off to college so they'd always have a quarter handy when out shopping at Aldi!  These make a great little unique gift for any girl!

Another great thing I've had for a few years now & never made for the show are these cord wraps.  I bought my husband a set of "Wrap Its" for Christmas last year and they were a huge hit in the garage - everything from extension cords, shop vac cords, hoses, etc... now have a wrap it around it and it keeps things so much tidier!  

So, I thought, why not make them for the show - so here you have the girly version of wrap its.  Super cute ways to keep any cord in the bathroom (hair dryer, curling iron, straightener), kitchen (waffle iron, air fryer, anything with a cord that never stays neat), extension cords, phone cords, iron cord, you name it these come in handy.  A great way to keep a cord wrapped up when traveling or in your handbag!  These would make a great unique gift for any one.  My girls got these too when they headed off to college

They each have a sturdy snap and are reversible. They come in two different lengths depending on the size cord you are trying to wrap.  The smaller is great for shorter cords, the larger for items like and iron.

Handwarmers are always a hit each year at the show - a great stocking stuffer!  All you need is a microwave and 30 seconds on high and your handwarmers will be hot for 30 min.  I love these!

Oh Christmas Tree - So many cute trees are being offered for sale this year.  Here's a few of the ones you can expect to see next Friday & Saturday, November 8th & 9th at 1215 Brinton Circle, West Chester.  If you don't already follow us on Instagram be sure to check @holidays_remembered and give us a follow!

Love these two wood trees - a great addition to your front porch.  The taller is 46" tall at it's point and the shorter is 35" tall at it's point.  Each tree $35.00 each. Be sure to specify which tree you want if pre-ordering - there are only these 2 available in this style.

These 3 trees are super cute! Each come fully decorated with a hand-painted metal bucket, string of fairy lights and laser cut wood snowflake ornaments. The stand 17.5" tall - $12.50 each.  There are only these 3 available - all are nearly the same (painted face may be a little different).

Still one of my favorite trees offered at the show are these ornament trees - each one is different.  Each are made with reclaimed wood, vintage Christmas balls, mason jar rings on the larger trees, embroidery rings on the smaller.  The tree trunks are made from vintage spindles.  Be sure to check out each picture to pick the tree you want - there are 3 larger trees that measure 17"wide x 20" tall (2 shown above and the 3rd in the last picture, the one directly below is in the center of the above picture.)  There is only one small tree available this year, shown above on the left. This tree measures 12.5" wide x 14.25" tall.  All are priced at $28.00.

It's almost here - 2024 Holidays Remembered Craft Show & Open House - Friday, Nov 8th 10am-9pm and Saturday, Nov 9th 9:30am-2pm at 1215 Brinton Circle, West Chester, PA!!
